CCM has won all ten parliamentary seats in Dodoma Region in Sunday’s Sunday General Election.
According to election results announced by the Returning Officers since Monday evening until yesterday morning, all the party representatives in the last National Assembly defended their seats.
In Kondoa Rural, Dr Ashatu Kijaja (CCM) who contested on the party ticket was declared the winner after getting 37,795 votes against CUF’s Yasini Shabani who got 23,795 votes as Saidi Njuki (ACT) got 2,469 and Issa Swalehe(UDP) managed to get ten votes.
Joel Mwaka, a new entrant for the Chilonwa parliamentary seat race on CCM ticket was declared the winner garnering 39,557 votes followed by ACT’s, Eva Mpagama who received 7,664 votes.
Announcing the results yesterday, the Municipal Council’s director who is also the Returning Officer, Saada Mwaluka, said Ngomoka William (ADC) got 198 votes; John Chigongo (Chadema) 4,206 votes while Damaly Sheghana (TLP) got 75 votes and Mohamed Ramadhani (UPDP) 75 votes.
Deputy Minister for Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, Juma Nkamia (CCM) was declared the winner in the newly created Chemba Constituency by Dr William Mafwele who was Returning Officer. He received 50,223 votes.
Ngimba Akley (CUF) came second with 18,908 votes while Kataa Ibrahim (ACT) got 1,873 votes.
The outgoing Speaker of National Assembly, Job Ndugai (CCM) also defended the Kongwa parliamentary seat by getting 73,165 votes equivalent to 76.89 per cent of the total votes.
He was followed by Chadema’s Gebeo Philemon with 20,335 votes (21.37 per cent) against Noel Mgaza(ACT) who got 1,510 votes, which is1.59 per cent and Eliud Chilulu (TLP) got 147 votes equivalent to 0.15 per cent of the total votes.
In Mpwapwa George Lubeleje(CCM) retained the seat after getting 32,208 votes which 74.46 per cent of all the votes.
The Returning Officer, Mohamed Maje,said Lubeleje defeated Ezekiel Chisinjila (Chadema) who got 11,048 votes that is 25.04 per cent of all votes casted in a race that saw the ruling party win all the 15 ward seats .
The Returning Officer in Kondoa Urban constituency, Samwel Simbila delared Edwin Sanda (CCM) garnering a total of 13,333 votes, followed by Ally Kambi (CUF) 6,783 votes, Ally Misanya (Chadema)1,822 votes, Dr Maulid Majala (ACT) 364 votes and Saumu Rashid (UDP) 63 votes.
In Dodoma Urban constituency, Anthony Mavunde(CCM) won the race by 84,512 votes against Benson Kigaila (Chadema)’s 42,140 votes, Christina Kamunya (ACT), 927 and Kayumbo Kabutari (Chaumma) 411 votes respectively.
Others are Nestory Magungwa(Chausta) who got 159 votes, Catherine Mkalulwa (UDP) 87 and Lunna Konga (UPDP) 70 votes.
In Mtera, the Returning Officer, Saada Mwaluka, announced Livingstone Lusinde(CCM) the winner of the parliamentary seat after getting 47,147 votes, followed by Christopher Nyamwanji (Chadema) who got 6,275 votes.
The Minister for Energy and Minerals, George Simbachawene(CCM) also retained the Kibakwe parliamentary seat after getting 37,327 votes, equivalent to 81 per cent of all the votes cast, followed from far by Mzinga William (Chadema) who got 8, 447 votes which is 18.45 per cent.
Omary Baduwel (CCM) also defended the Bahi constituency after winning by 48,792 votes, being 78.74 per cent of all the votes. He was followed by Mathias Lyamunda (Chadema) who got 12,527 votes, equivalent to 20.22 per cent as Eva Kaka (ACT) got 246 votes or 1.04 percent.
In the same vein, NEC has released more Union presidential candidates results as follows: Shauri Moyo (Pemba), CCM 5,849 (59.60) and Chadema 3,731 (38.9).
